Takada, Kenji

Hair: Kenji sports a thick, grayish hair. Most of his hair is extends upwards or in other directions in a soft spike-like fashion. Though, some strands, specifically those close to his forehead bulge downward. The hair behind his head is thick ans straight though. In a periodic fashion, whenever wind blows through his hair, he would be seen clutching his hair tightly.

Eyes: Blue, crystal-like eyes that daze a thousand miles, in contrast to his personality it always seems as if he is never focused. Most of the time, you would never see his eyelids covering more than half of his pupils.

At times though, when Kenji is in a dire or dangerous situation, his eyes start to lose their shine and they look more focused; when this happens, the relaxed look on his eyes that originally were there suddenly disappear.

Physical Features: Other than his eyes or hair, his most prominent feature is his slender nose, his faded smile and his pale-white complexion. He is a well-built individual, though is mostly unnoticeable due to the nature of his garment. His overall skin is actually smooth and soft, as everyone would notice, except for his hands, due to the fact of his wind-affinity and fighting style.

Clothing/Accessories: In terms of clothing, Kenji's attire is rather unusual for a former Konohagakure Ninja. As a sneak into his history, he never really did follow the uniform regulations(if there was any) for Ninjas, since he never officially became one. He wears a brown garment complete with silver plating on its edges. The garment does not cover his entire front torso though, as part of his chest and abdomen are seen. He also sports a shoulder plate/armor that acts as defense and as a way to hold the garment to his body, and sometimes he says for training purposes. The shoulder plate comes with a skeletal-like extension that goes down to the chest, much like how a ribcage would look.

He also wears a brown-colored pants, held together to his robe with a belt that is embedded with a mini skeleton-head of yellow to gold of color. On his lower arms, he wears a protective plate that extends from his wrist up to his elbow, and gloves from the same material that covers up to one-fourth of his fingers only, with the exception of the thumb which is not in any way protected by the glove. He also wears the same kind of plate-armor on his legs, from his knees down that is connected to a pair of silver boots.

Float freely, like the wind

Kenji, as exemplified by his Nindo is a free-spirited individual. For the most part of his social life, he rarely ever makes any attachments to anyone amidst his kind and gentle persona. He is a man who could be easily approached most of the time, and no one ever has any hard time making arrangements with him, well if they are allies of his.

Kenji is also someone of great insight, often looking not into the superficial view of the world, but the other dimension that each individual thing has immersed within itself. A logical thinker, a strategist and tactician, he uses this insight, along with experience and undisclosed wit during times of battle. During times of peace though, this kind of insight and battle advantage is used mainly for entertainment purposes, such as noticing a bird's flight and calculating where the bird is about to fly off to. He is often described as a person who always has something in his mind. Although he is generally quite shrewd, he wouldn't do things without any good reason that would be enough to even make him think of doing it.

In accordance with his kind personality, he is also a level-headed individual, whether as a ninja or just as a person. Most of the time insults wouldn't work against him, unless in times when he is in low morale or is frustrated. When the situation happens to be something he could hardly understand, he immerses himself in deep frustration and focus, often forgetting more unnoticeable or ignoring everything sometimes.

On to the darker side of Kenji is the most dominant of his personality, which is surprisingly not his wit, kindness or calmness. Rather it is his free-spirited and risky Nindo at which he mostly puts his situations at a dangerous stand point. When the time comes, he is never afraid to kill, and the polar-opposite, to exhibit mercy. He lives his life the way life gives it to him. He is not beyond fooling and lying if he need be, and is not afraid to make his superficial personality a facade to hide his true intentions. As such, when challenged by anyone in anything that involves risk, he would almost always take the challenge. A risk-taker, he is also someone who likes to involve creative-risks and changes, even if it meant abandoning this risk-taking personality.

When Kenji is pushed to situations that are dire and almost impossible to go through, his appearance, well mostly his eyes and smile, change considerably. He starts to exhibit focus and his faded smile turns into either a smirk or a grin. Though even with that kind of serious look, if he isn't exactly frustrated or such, his kind and calm personality holds through unless otherwise.

Often seen by his comrades and enemies alike is his smile and seemingly aloof focus attributed to the look in his eyes, often times to the indifference of Kenji, as people would otherwise be pissed for the kind of aloofness or rather be annoyed at him. It is also a point of irony that most his allies seem to note every time a remark about his eyes or general appearance is made. Another ironic thing is that amidst his kind and gentle persona, he never once used honorifics and any similar sort of mannerism.

Kenji was born to Yuri Takada and Reiko Takada of Konoha, ninja who has created and mastered their own set of techniques for combat. They were quite the people in Konoha, and people admired their sense of tactics and strategy, and both were known to lead squads in successful missions with the least harm to them and the village.

After Kenji was born, both Ninja's retired from their ninja work at an early age, prompting themselves to ask for a request from the Hokage. Making a deal, both parties agreed that the Takada Couple will not engage in any sort of missions for the time being when Kenji is being raised until he graduates the academy. Once he did however, the couple would have to take part in dangerous missions when the need is present, and leave their child. They will not be allowed to contact their son as long as the mission is not done.

Throughout Kenji's childhood, both his parents already warned him of the deal, strenghtening Kenji's heart that he may accept when the time finally comes for long periods of separation. Though, to augment this mental training, Kenji's parents agreed to train him on their most-revered specialty, tactical combat.

At an early age of 6, both his parents engaged him in mental training, often times leading to fatigue for the young child. He was not allowed to eat until he solved a puzzle, or won a strategy game(Board games, or placing Kenji in real-life situations) against his mother or father. Kenji was only lucky to have had this kind of training early on, as his heart became as resolved, and made it so that he is not easily broken.

Time passed, and Kenji's wit, insight, battle strategy and intelligence were at a level superb from his generation. Though, one might notice is that, he lacks, well he didn't have any kind of skill for Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and even Genjutsu. He was smart, anyone would admit, but his lack
of actual combat skill and some even say, talent- pushes him down the ladder of Ninja standards. He was told by his peers and other ninjas alike that he would not be a practical ninja as they thought he would become, much like his parents. Well, Kenji didn't mind the harsh remarks or moral-degrading statements of anyone, until it came at an age of 10.

At the academy, he had a hard time keeping up with anyone in his age group since he lacked any kind of combat ability. His mental tests we're excellent though, but it never really helped him to get the kind of attention or acknowledgement he deserves, after all, Ninjas need to be practical. At the end, his teachers did not allow him to graduate from the academy until he has gained practical Ninja essentials apart from his wit.

This situation shaked him. It was the first time he felt desperation and frustration. He didn't know how to actually improve himself in terms of strenght and skill. Dumbfounded, he released all his frustrations on his own Senseis, his father and mother. He was actually lost at this point with so many questions. Why did his father and mother continously train him mentally, but ignore his physical capabilities altogether. Why, in spite of the fact that they knew of how his peers treated him, let him be. Lashing out his frustrations, he demanded answers.

Well, his parents were actually having a great time for the temporary peace they have had. They had enough of the dangerous situations, anxiety and close-encounters that they just had to devise something. The deal with the Hokage, and not training their son to be as proficient and masterful as they are were the answers. They in fact did know, that despite the intelligence he had, he would not succeed as a ninja with that alone. They knew that if they strenghten his resolve that being a 'smart' ninja, should be his nindo, he would not realize it. Kenji, broken went into deep depression. He was eleven at the moment.

During these times, his parents saw that he completely them and his training. He dettached himself from his peers. He stopped attending the academy. He wouldn't eat, he wouldn't sleep. He lost focus, both in his appearance and in himself. He often left the house at morning, and leave at night, with sharp cuts and bruises around his body. Though, all these times, he had a faded grin on his face. Slowly, his parents started realizing their mistakes, and vowed to 'atone' for it.

Before turning fourteen, about two months before actually, his parents came up to him. They simply said, 'Let's start training.' Not realizing anything, and out of focus, followed them to the yard where they always trained. Then, Kenji suddenly had a sharp grin when they stood on the yard, his eyes more focused than ever. He wanted revenge, actually. He wanted them down. Their parents, well they were still sharp as ever, and realizing what had just happened, they themselves lost focus and their body stopped on their tracks. It was then they saw, what Kenji has been up to when he leaves the house, allowing themselves to smile a bit.

He actually inherited lots of things from his parents. First was their intelligence and wit, second was the thing that placed them on top of the ladder of Ninjas; Their ability to create. It was then that Kenji started making his revelations.

The first month of his 'depression' was actually tragic. He was in fact in a real state of depression and didn't know what to do and disregarded his health both mentally and physically. On one particular day, he decided to visit his parents' room. There, he saw tons of books and material, all about the basics of Ninja, from taijutsu to ninjutsu, as well as how 'chakra manipulation' works. Everything he had missed to become the Ninja he is, where at his grasps. Retaining his focus and finally getting himself together, he vowed for revenge. Not revenge against his peers or his instructors, not even his parents, but for the way of life he had. He read the books everyday, and tried out some applications whenever possible. He trained and learned everyday, and with the help of his superior understanding, wit and insight was able to learn faster than his peers, and at least master everything he was able to read.

For the ultimate irony to the story, he decided to create his own set of techniques. He focused on his taijutsu from dawn to noon, and then ninjutsu from then onwards. He found out about his wind-affinity when he first did a wind release technique, and he specially noted that it was more powerful than all other nature-type jutsu he used, even though they were known to be just as powerful as each other. Since wind-based jutsu were known to be sharp, fast, and even tough to control, Kenji would often times hurt himself in the process. At times when he practices taijutsu, he would often fall from trees or force his body. He didn't like genjutsu very much, stating that 'if I learn genjutsu more than the others, It would be adding to the 'mind-freak' insult'. When he created Jutsu, he always thought of the wind as a particle, small, thin, and even fragile, and he always though of his taijutsu as a microscope, to enlarge the 'view' of the particle-like wind.

This allowed him to create a style of Taijutsu that incorported itself into Kenji's wind techniques. It also allowed him to create Taijutsu that had similar effects to wind-property jutsu.

One thing that bothered him though, is that he never really tried it out on anyone, and decided one day to see how strong he and his parents actually are. Kenji, thinking that his parents would fight back, used the most powerful technique he could use for that particular moment, his wind temple technique, that exaggerates the metaphor he made of taijutsu as a microscope, and wind as a particle. Using the dome-like technique that bombards a target with wind shards, focused on both his parents. He then suddenly realized that something was wrong, from the moment they saw Kenji activate all these techniques, they should have removed themselves from where they stood. They did not.

It was only then that Kenji on instinct deactivated his wind temple, subsequently deactivating the chamber he enclosed his parents in, only to realize the effect of his technique. Both his parents, at this moment were bloodied, and paralyzed, they were on the verge of death. It was at this moment that they both revealed their long term plan. They didn't really want Kenji to grow up as weak as he did for the first parts of his life, but they also did not want him to inherit their fighting techniques as it would be a dull way to pass on their legacy. Their legacy were their 'creativity' as one might say. Creating an elaborate plan to lure Kenji's slowly breaking resolve, they finally shattered it by saying that this was part of a plan so that they may not go into the battlefield once more. As such, the effect they expected, went smoothly.

On a particular day, the exact day that Kenji visited their room, they used a genjutsu on him so that he may suddenly have an urge to visit their room. Before this, they supplied their room with materials on Ninja and Jutsu, the essentials, the why and the how. Seeing the effect that they expected on Kenji, they allowed him to go about on his own way. Through this, Kenji not only built his physical skills, but also developed a sense of independence, creativity but most of all a harder resolve. When the time finally came, using the exact same Jutsu they used on Kenji back then, the words 'Let's start training' became the gunshot heard around the world. Soon after the revelation, and bursting into tears, Kenji was about to lose his sense of belongingness and worth, until his parents said in words he will never forget:

Never to follow anyones path, creating your own, and being an individual above all others, Kenji continued to this day the legacy his parents have passed down to him.

The village though, was not so fond of Kenji and the news of his killing his parents, and have sent a village-wide order to hunt and secure Kenji, even kill him if necessary, prompting him to leave the village. He took the risk and he won in the end, though not everyone still appreciated him. He wasn't exactly a bad person was he? It was just fate.

After leaving his village, no news about him was ever reported, and he was slowly forgotten by the village itself. Through time though, there were rumors that he improved his wind techniques and refined his taijutsu, and even went on two learn two high-level genjutsu- it was unknown if these were true, until now.

All of these, shaped him to what he is now. Even his appearance, his out-of-focus eyes, faded smile, and sharp wit and creativity, he became a man of his own.
